Use Disorder definition

Use Disorder means a disease that is characterized by a pattern of pathological use of a drug with repeated attempts to control the use, and with negative consequences in at least one of the following areas of life: medical, legal, financial, or psycho-social.

  • When documenting a CMBHS Substance Use Disorder screening, Grantee shall conduct the screening in a confidential, face-to-face interview unless there is documented justification for an interview by phone.

  • Funding from The United States Health and Humans Services (HHS) and the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA) fund the HHSC Substance Use Disorder project(s), which includes this Contract.
