Use as an Adjective. The word "AADVANTAGE" may never be used as a noun or verb. ------------------- It should only be used as an adjective and in connection with the common name of the service, such as the "AADVANTAGE travel awards program." Any play on the word ADVANTAGE should be avoided. For example, copy such as "The AADVANTAGE of American Airlines" or "THE ADVANTAGES AND BENEFITS OF MEMBERSHIP" are not acceptable. --- Awards: If awards are mentioned, the wording of the awards should be the same ------ as the wording used in our AADVANTAGE Rules Brochure or on our Mileage Summary. Description of Miles: AADVANTAGE miles or mileage cannot be described as FREE. -------------------- Miles are not free, they are EARNED as a result of a specified transaction.
