Undercover assignment definition
Undercover assignment is any assignment that requires investigation where that individual, as part of his job assignment, will work in plainclothes without revealing his identity or occupation in furtherance of an assigned police function and is working for a unit within Criminal Investigation and Intelligence. Support and assistance functions shall include telephone answering, transport of materials or property, initial or follow-up information intake, or filing or copying functions.
