Uncompensated care need definition

Uncompensated care need means losses from bad debts reduced to cost and the costs of charity care of a general hospital for inpatient and ambulatory services, excluding referred ambulatory services. The cost of services provided as an employment benefit or as a courtesy shall not be included.

  • Non-Highly Compensated Employee means an Employee who is not a Highly Compensated Employee.

  • Designated caregiver has the meaning as set out in the Code. Disciplinary Action includes termination of this Agreement and suspension, expulsion and exclusion of the Student as those terms are defined in the Act. Fee means fees payable by the Parents to the School as per the Fee Schedule. Fee Schedule means the schedule of fees for Tuition, Accommodation and miscellaneous charges, which is available from the School on request and may be updated from time to time. Homestay has the meaning as set out in the Code.

  • Nonhighly Compensated Employee means an Eligible Employee who is not a Highly Compensated Employee and who is not a family member treated as a Highly Compensated Employee.

  • Highly Compensated Employee means any Employee who:

  • Child in need of services means (i) a child whose behavior, conduct or condition presents or results

  • Medicare eligible expenses means expenses of the kinds covered by Medicare Parts A and B, to the extent recognized as reasonable and medically necessary by Medicare.

  • Highly Compensated Former Employee means a former Employee who had a separation year prior to the "determination year" and was a Highly Compensated Employee in the year of separation from service or in any "determination year" after attaining age 55. Notwithstanding the foregoing, an Employee who separated from service prior to 1987 will be treated as a Highly Compensated Former Employee only if during the separation year (or year preceding the separation year) or any year after the Employee attains age 55 (or the last year ending before the Employee's 55th birthday), the Employee either received "415 Compensation" in excess of $50,000 or was a "five percent owner." For purposes of this Section, "determination year," "415 Compensation" and "five percent owner" shall be determined in accordance with Section 1.26. Highly Compensated Former Employees shall be treated as Highly Compensated Employees. The method set forth in this Section for determining who is a "Highly Compensated Former Employee" shall be applied on a uniform and consistent basis for all purposes for which the Code Section 414(q) definition is applicable.

  • Primary care physician or “PCP” means a Plan Provider who has an independent contractor agreement with HPN to assume responsibility for arranging and coordinating the delivery of Covered Services to Members. A Primary Care Physician’s agreement with HPN may terminate. In the event that a Member’s Primary Care Physician’s agreement terminates, the Member will be required to select another Primary Care Physician.

  • Eligible patient means an individual who meets all of the following conditions:

  • primary carer means the person who has responsibility for the care of the Child. Only one person can be the Child’s Primary Carer on a particular day.

  • Excess Compensation means Compensation in excess of the following Integration Level: (Choose (1) or (2))

  • Respiratory care practitioner means a person who is

  • 414(s) Compensation means any definition of compensation that satisfies the nondiscrimination requirements of Code Section 414(s) and the Regulations thereunder. The period for determining 414(s) Compensation must be either the Plan Year or the calendar year ending with or within the Plan Year. An Employer may further limit the period taken into account to that part of the Plan Year or calendar year in which an Employee was a Participant in the component of the Plan being tested. The period used to determine 414(s) Compensation must be applied uniformly to all Participants for the Plan Year.

  • Family child care provider means a person who: (a) Provides

  • Essential Human Needs means natural gas service, which, if denied, would cause shutdown of an operation resulting in the closing of the establishment essential to maintaining the health and safety of the general public.

  • Physician assistant means a person licensed as a physician

  • Non-Highly Compensated Participant means any Participant who is neither a Highly Compensated Employee nor a Family Member.

  • Gross compensation means every form of remuneration payable for a given period to an individual for services provided including salaries, commissions, vacation pay, severance pay, bonuses, and any board, rent, housing, lodging, payments in kind, and any similar benefit received from the individual's employer.

  • Pregnancy Leave means leave taken for purposes related to giving birth and/or recovering therefrom.

  • Annual Compensation means an amount equal to the greater of:

  • Primary Care Provider (PCP) means a health care professional who is contracted with BCBSAZ as a PCP and generally specializes in or focuses on the following practice areas: internal medicine, family practice, general practice, pediatrics or any other classification of provider approved as a PCP by BCBSAZ. Your benefit plan does not require you to have a PCP or to have a PCP authorize specialist referrals.

  • 415 Compensation means:

  • Primary caregiver or "caregiver" means a resident of the State

  • Total Compensation means the cash and noncash dollar value earned by the executive during the Subcontractor’s preceding fiscal year and includes the following (for more information see 17 CFR 229.402(c)(2)):

  • Primary care-giver means a person who assumes the principal role of providing care and attention to a child.

  • COVID-19 emergency means the emergencies declared in the Declaration of Public Emergency (Mayor's Order 2020-045) together with the Declaration of Public Health Emergency (Mayor's Order 2020-046), declared on March 11, 2020, including any extension of those declared emergencies.
