Unauthorized Use or Disclosure definition

Unauthorized Use or Disclosure as defined in Section 6.1.4 (ii).
Unauthorized Use or Disclosure means access to, or use or disclosure of PHI that is not permitted under any applicable law that protects such information.

Examples of Unauthorized Use or Disclosure in a sentence

  • Unauthorized Use or Disclosure of PHI/EPHI: Business Associate shall report to the County health care component any use or disclosure of PHI/EPHI not provided for by this Addendum, the Privacy Rule or the Security Rule.

  • Licensee will take reasonable steps to protect Virtustream’s Confidential Information from any use/Use, reproduction, publication or disclosure not specifically authorized by this Agreement (collectively, "Unauthorized Use or Disclosure").

  • In the event of a Breach, Unauthorized Use or Disclosure of PHI, or Security Incident by Sub-Business Associate, ACO shall be entitled to enjoin and restrain Sub- Business Associate from any continued violation of this Agreement.

  • Wildcard Dental may but is not required to notify appropriate law enforcement agencies in the event it believes a Security Incident or Unauthorized Use or Disclosure is a crime or the result of criminal activity.

  • Safeguards Against Unauthorized Use or Disclosure of Information.

  • Prohibition on Unauthorized Use or Disclosure of Covered Data and Information Service Provider agrees to hold the Covered Data and Information in strict confidence.

  • Any use or disclosure of PHI that is not permitted shall be considered an Unauthorized Use or Disclosure for the purposes of this Agreement.

  • MH will report to Customer any acquisition, access, use, or disclosure of PHI in violation of this BAA or HIPAA by MH, its employees, other agents or contractors, or by a third party to which MH disclosed PHI (each an “Unauthorized Use or Disclosure”) of which MH becomes aware without unreasonable delay and no later than thirty (30) days after the date on which MH first learns of the Unauthorized Use or Disclosure.
