UFAS definition

UFAS means the Uniform Federal Accessibility Standards for the design, construction or alteration of buildings and facilities to ensure that they are readily accessible to and usable by individuals with disabilities, 24 C.F.R §40, Appendix A.
UFAS means the Uniform Federal Accessibility Standards and refers to a set of scoping requirements and standards for the design and construction of buildings and facilities to ensure that they are readily accessible to and usable by persons with disabilities. See Appendix A to 24

  • If the design features that are needed for the buyer are design features that are covered in the Uniform Federal Accessibility Standards (UFAS), those features must comply with the UFAS standard.
