TVNZ is aware of the growth of Pacific and Asian communities in New Zealand and wish to ensure that these communities see themselves reflected onscreen and online.
Under the National Civil Defence Emergency Management Plan (the Plan), and the accompanying Guide to the National CDEM Plan, MCDEM and TVNZ are required to develop and maintain arrangements to ensure the effective and consistent broadcast of warnings and emergency information.
