Trusted System definition

Trusted System includes only the following methods of physical delivery: 1. Hand-delivery by a person authorized to have access to the Confidential Information with written acknowledgement of receipt; 2. United States Postal Service (USPS) first class mail, or USPS delivery services that include Tracking, such as Certified Mail, Express Mail or Registered Mail; and 3. Commercial delivery services (e.g., FedEx, UPS, DHL) which offer tracking and receipt confirmation.
Trusted System means a combination of techniques, policies, and procedures within which there is no plausible scenario in which a document retrieved from or reproduced by that system could differ substantially from the document as originally stored.

  • When transmitting HCA’s Confidential Information via paper documents, the Receiving Party must use a Trusted System.
