Truncated definition

Truncated means that some interaction terms were dropped as insignificant. Where a range is given, it is the range of values obtained across industries.
Truncated petitioner means that Mr. Bush was using “U.S. Chamber” as a shorthand way of referring to the “United States Hispanic Chamber of Commerce.” However, we find this proposed interpretation of Mr. Bush’s remarks to be highly speculative. Moreover, even assuming that this incident is an instance of a “truncation” of respondent’s mark, we find that such a truncation was not due to any similarity between the parties’ marks or to any source confusion, but rather is more likely to have been merely an unremarkable mis- statement by the former president. It certainly appears to be merely an isolated incident; it does not support petitioner’s contention that such “truncation” happens “frequently.”
