Trigger Trust definition

Trigger Trust means a trust as described in Section 8 below.

Examples of Trigger Trust in a sentence

  • Except as provided in the following sentence, the Board may, in its sole discretion, establish or cause to be established a Trigger Trust as described in Section 8.2 below, the purpose of which is to provide a fund for the payment of some or all of the Change-in-Control Benefits and other benefits provided under Sections 6 and 7 above to Terminated Participants following a Change-in-Control Date, and such other benefits as may be determined by the Board from time to time.

  • Notwithstanding the preceding sentence, the Board shall not establish or cause to be established a Trigger Trust in connection with the transactions described in the Agreement and Plan of Merger between the Company and Duke Energy Corporation dated as of January 8, 2011.
