Tree Surgeon definition

Tree Surgeon means a person who advertises in a local phone book, newspaper, newsletter, bulletin, the internet or other prominently displayed sign as a licensed or insured tree surgeon and receives compensation for any work or consultation relative to the care, pruning, cabling, bracing, topping, trimming, fertilizing, cavity work and removal of ornamental trees and shrubs in any manner. Nothing shall prevent any person from performing such services as long as their advertising does not include the description licensed or insured.

  • The Tree Surgeon shall be required to obtain and keep current thereafter, certification with the International Arborists Association.

  • In the event the Assistant Tree Surgeon does not meet the above requirement, the employee shall be entitled to no longevity pay increases and consequently shall be frozen at his/her then current basic straight time hourly rate.

  • The Assistant Tree Surgeon, after three (3) years from the date of first employment, shall obtain and keep current thereafter, a State of Illinois Landscape and Turf Pest Control Applicator's License.

  • The County’s representative shall approve a professional licensed to prune tress under the direction of a Licensed Landscape Architect, Arborist, Tree Surgeon, or other approved professional shall do the pruning and sharpening.

  • Employees in the Automotive Technician, Grounds Equipment Mechanic, Grounds Worker, Grounds Gardener, Nursery Worker, and Tree Surgeon classifications shall receive up to $175.00 each fiscal year towards the purchase of required safety shoes/boots, provided they are in need of replacement, at participating vendor locations determined by the Employer.
