Transitional program definition

Transitional program means services provided to a child who is being emancipated as an adult, or a person who has reached the age of 18 and is considered an adult as a matter of law, in order to assist the child or person in becoming independent.
Transitional program means the alternative-learning program, provided by CAMELOT, for Students in grades six (6) through twelve (12) who are at-risk, previously adjudicated delinquent, transitioning into the District or from a residential program of the Florida Department of Juvenile Justice, adjudged to have committed a crime or have committed any one or more of the offenses described in the District’s Rights and Responsibilities Handbook, or under School Board rule 7.02 and is required to attend an alternative school setting.
