Trainee Instructor definition

Trainee Instructor means an employee who has not attained the status of "Qualified Instructor" as identified in Article 5.10.
Trainee Instructor who commences employment on or before the fifteen (15th) of the month shall b e eligible to begin accumulating vacation leave credits for that month. A “Trainee Instructor” who commences employment after the fifteenth (15th) of the month shall be eligible to begin accumulating vacation leave credits the following month. 14.02 The vacation leave credit: (a) for employees with less than eight (8) years of employment shall be one and one-quarter (1 1/4) days per calendar month; (b) for employees with eight (8) or more years of employment shall be one and two-thirds (1 2/3) days per calendar month. (c) for employees with twenty (20) or more years of employment shall be two and one-twelfth (2 1/12) days per calendar month. 14.03 The provisions of Clause 14.02 hereof do not apply to a "Qualified Instructor" in any year where he has taken his two (2) month non-instructional period. 14.04 A "Qualified Instructor" whose employment is terminated for any reason shall not be entitled to be paid with his final pay an amount of money equivalent to any vacation which may have accrued to his benefit as provided under Clause 14.02 whenever the appropriate portion of salary earned for the subsequent two (2) month non- instructional period is paid in accordance with Article 36 (Termination of Employment). It shall be considered that portion of salary paid for the subsequent two (2) month non-instructional period includes vacation pay entitlement. 14.05 A "Trainee Instructor” whose employment is terminated for any reason shall be paid with his final pay an amount of money equivalent to any vacation which may have accrued to his benefit as provided under Clause 14.02.
