If the Operator is not able to operate a Train Service in accordance with its Scheduled Time or an Alternative Schedule Time made available in accordance with clause 8.7(a)(ii) (or has not immediately notified Queensland Rail accepting such an Alternative Schedule Time), Queensland Rail may authorise the operation of another Train Movement at that Scheduled Time.
The Train Movement Director will be expected to counsel, supervise and evaluate the new employee while the new employee performs the duties of the position and evaluation will be recorded on the prescribed form.
A new employee who withdraws from training or who does not successfully pass all training and/or examinations will not be considered for selection for Train Movement Director and will be released from the service of the Company unless otherwise agreed between the Director-Operations and the General Chairman.
A Train Movement Director to whom a new employee is assigned for training will receive $40.00, in addition to his regular wages, for each day that a new employee is assigned to him by the Supervisor.
