Track Occupancy definition

Track Occupancy means when an On-track Vehicle is either stationary or in motion on a Mainline Track.

  • TRANSFLO bills Track Occupancy charges by individual railcar on a per day basis, including weekdays, weekends and holidays, except as stated above.

  • The Track Occupancy charges vary depending upon the car type: private and railroad-owned or leased.

  • As each railcar is Constructively Placed (defined below) at a terminal, a prescribed number of “free days” is allowed with respect to that railcar before assessment by TRANSFLO of Track Occupancy charges commences.
