TPA Services definition

TPA Services has the meaning set forth in Section 2.01(b).
TPA Services means, with respect to the MetLife Group, services for the administration of an Affiliate’s insurance products for which applicable laws require a license or registration if such services are performed by a party other than such Affiliate. TPA Services shall include claims processing and premium collection to the extent required by law.
TPA Services means third party administrative services, such as customer relationship management, financial services administration, claims management, captive management and call center management.

  • PHP TPA Services shall not be liable for any loss resulting from the performance of its duties, except for losses resulting directly from gross negligence of PHP TPA Services failure of PHP TPA Services to follow written directions of the Plan Sponsor or fraudulent or criminal acts of the agents or employees of PHP TPA Services.

  • Subject to Evolent’s ongoing compliance with its obligations under this Section 4.2.1 and 11.1.2 below, UPMC acknowledges that, despite Evolent’s Best Efforts, Evolent’s customers may ultimately, at the customer’s own discretion, elect to obtain Exclusive TPA Services through Evolent or through other sources.

  • It is understood and agreed that liability for payment of benefits under the Plan is the liability of the Plan Sponsor and that PHP TPA Services shall not have any duty to use any of its funds for the payment of such benefits.

TPA Services has the meaning set forth in Schedule D. (136) “TPA SOW” means the Statement of Work for TPA Services dated as of the Effective Date. (137) “Transition Milestone” has the meaning set forth in Schedule G. Section 1.02
TPA Services means third party administration and related services including the services, functions and responsibilities to be performed under the New Customer Contracts. TPA Services shall not include (i) marketing (including activities such as product development, product pricing, marketing material development or outreach sales support), underwriting or actuarial services of the types performed by LMG prior to the Effective Date or (ii) marketing-related services normally provided by a wholesaler or managing general agent (MGA) that are not normally marketed in the industry as a stand-alone service by third party administrators (e.g., scrubbing applications but not 1035 exchanges, transfer collection services and billing and premium collection provided for a fee).
