Tourism Unit definition

Tourism Unit means any establishment providing facilities and services to the tourists and includes hotel, resorts, motels, time share units, apartments, houseboats, motor caravans, guest houses, yatri niwases, restaurants and bars, amusement parks, theme parks, water sports centres, aero-sports centres, golf courses, handicraft village complexes, camps, river cruises, lake cruise projects, light and sound shows, adventure sports complexes, training institutes for adventure sports or tourism industry doing business for a monetary consideration and any other type of establishment as may be notified by the Government from time to time;
Tourism Unit means a tourism project approved by the Department of Tourism, Government of India or by the Department of Tourism, Government of Rajasthan and shall include,-
Tourism Unit means a legal entity under the relevant law, engaged or to be engaged in providing any service related to travel and tourism. It shall mean a legal entity in the form of a registered company under the Companies Act, Partnership Firm, or a Trust or a legally registered society, or a proprietorship.

More Definitions of Tourism Unit

Tourism Unit means a project in the large and medium sector related to tourism activities in the following items as defined in Annexure _ II and as may be further notified by the Tourism Department.

  • Tourism promotion means activities and expenditures designed to increase tourism, including but not limited to advertising, publicizing, or otherwise distributing information for the purpose of attracting and welcoming tourists; developing strategies to expand tourism; operating tourism promotion agencies; and funding marketing of special events and festivals designed to attract tourists.

  • Tourism means economic activity resulting from tourists, which may include sales of overnight lodging, meals, tours, gifts, or souvenirs.

  • Rooming unit means any room or group of rooms forming a single habitable unit used or intended to be used for living and sleeping, but not for cooking or eating purposes.
