Totally Lost definition
Totally Lost means the total physical loss or loss of use of hand or foot at or above the wrist or ankle. For an eye, it means the entire and irrecoverable loss of sight in that eye.
Totally Lost means the vessel being re- placed no longer exists in specie, or is absolutely and irretrievably sunk or otherwise beyond the possible control of the owner, or the costs of repair (in- cluding recovery) would exceed the value of the vessel after repairs.
