TLV-TWA® definition
TLV-TWA® means the time-weighted average concentration for a normal 8- hour workday and a 40-hour workweek, to which nearly all workers may be repeatedly exposed, day after day, without adverse effect (as defined in the ACGIH Handbook).
TLV-TWA® means the threshold limit value-time weighted average, a level assigned by the ACGIH to which a worker can be exposed day after day for 8-hours a day throughout their working lifetime without suffering adverse health effects. “ACGIH” shall mean the American Conference of Governmental Industrial Hygienists.
