Time for time definition

Time for time means work performed by an employee in excess of or outside the normal hours of work per day or per week which has not been authorized by the Chief Executive Officer or his designate and shall be paid at the employee’s regular rate of pay at straight time for time.

Examples of Time for time in a sentence

  • The use of Compensatory Time for time off is subject to the same limitations as non- annual vacation, i.e. non-mandatory filling and shall not be taken in increments of less than 8 hours.

  • Time for time could be banked throughout the grading quarter and must be used before the end of the next grading period.

  • If any employee selects a ▇▇▇▇▇▇▇ to represent that employee in a grievance which has been properly filed in accordance with this Article, the ▇▇▇▇▇▇▇ may be allowed to use the AFSCME Pool Time for time off to investigate the grievance at the Oral Step and to represent the grievance at any Oral Step and Step 1 meetings that are held during regular working hours.

  • Requests to use Holiday Time for time off may be made only for one or more of the holidays specified in Section 1 hereinabove (the day of the actual holiday, not the date on which the holiday may otherwise be observed) that such employee was scheduled to work.

  • The use of Compensatory Time for time off is subject to the same limitations as non-annual vacation, i.e. non-mandatory filling and shall not be taken in increments of less than 1 hour.

  • Paid CARE Time for time not worked will include shift differential for employees regularly scheduled for the evening or night shifts.

  • Time in lieu will be credited as follows; o Time for time within the spread of hours 6.00am to 6.00pm Monday to Friday o Time and a half for work outside the spread of hours Monday to Friday o Time and a half for Saturdays o Double time for Sundays and public Holidays Employees shall be entitled upon termination to be paid out at their ordinary time rate any outstanding leave in lieu credits not taken.

  • The Employer shall permit Employees not eligible for sick leave who experience emergent and unforeseen circumstances beyond their control that prevent them from arriving to work timely or at all, such as acts of God, extreme weather conditions, road closures, vehicle collisions, criminal acts, etc., to take reasonable Annual Leave or Compensatory Time for time not worked.

  • Requests to use Comp Time for time off shall follow the PTO request process and criteria.

  • Submission Date means the date on which You Submit a Contribution to Us.

  • Relevant Screen Page Time means such relevant Screen Page Time as may be specified in the relevant Final Terms

  • Service Down Time (SDT) means the time period when specified services with specified technical and operational requirements as mentioned in section titled “WARRANTY SUPPORT”” are not available to Gov. of W. Bengal and its user departments and organizations.

  • Eastern Time means Eastern Daylight Time or Eastern Standard Time, whichever is in effect on the relevant date.

  • Time Schedule means the Time Schedule for final completion of the Works or Mechanical Completion of the Plant(s)/Unit(s), as the case may be, incorporated in the Contract or as may be extended by the OWNER or Engineer- in-Charge pursuant to the provisions hereof and shall include interim time schedules set up for achieving interim/phase-wise/stage-wise progress/completion/testing/commissioning/ handing over, as may be prescribed by the OWNER/Engineer-in-Charge, within the overall Time Schedule as originally envisaged or as extended.
