THWN definition

THWN insulated wire. Tenant shall use no wire smaller than No. 12 "AWG" for lighting and/or power.
THWN or “THHN” wires installed in electric metallic tubing (emt) for main, sub main feeders, and branch circuitry.

Examples of THWN in a sentence

  • Type THW or THWN 600 volt insulation conductors shall be used; minimum wire size shall be #12.
