Three-Fourths Majority definition
Three-Fourths Majority means an affirmative vote of three-fourths of the members of the County Board present and voting in a duly-noticed County Board meeting at which a quorum of County Board members are present. By way of example, if fifteen County Board members are present and voting, a Three-Fourths Majority requires that twelve of the fifteen County Board members vote in the affirmative.
Three-Fourths Majority means not less than three-fourths of the votes cast in the affirmative by members present and voting or voting by proxy (i.e., 75% or greater).
