Tenured Appointment definition

Tenured Appointment means the right of a unit member to continued employment without removal except as provided for in Article 16, Termination, or Article 17, Retrenchment; or by resignation or retirement.
Tenured Appointment means an appointment without term, which may be terminated only in accordance with the provisions of this Collective Agreement.
Tenured Appointment means employment for an indefinite period of time which can be revoked only for cause and with due process (see Articles VIII and IX of the Agreement). See Agreement, Article VII,

Examples of Tenured Appointment in a sentence

  • An appointee in such a position is not on Probation for a Tenured Appointment.

  • A Member who holds a Probationary or Tenured Appointment shall have Academic Responsibilities in each of the three areas named in Clauses 2 through 7 of this Article, unless there is between the Member and the Employer a written agreement to a different set of responsibilities.

Related to Tenured Appointment

  • Serviced Appointment has the meaning set forth in Section 1.1.

  • Letter of Appointment means the written communication by SAICA to the Contractor recording the acceptance by SAICA of Contractor’s bid subject to the further terms and conditions to be itemized in the contract;

  • General power of appointment means a power of appointment exercisable in favor of the powerholder, the powerholder's estate, a creditor of the powerholder, or a creditor of the powerholder's estate.

  • Independent Custodian means Deutsche Bank AG, London Branch.

  • Appointed Trustee means each person acting in a Corporate Trust Capacity under each applicable Corporate Trust Contract.

  • Continuing Director means, with respect to any Person as of any date of determination, any member of the board of directors of such Person who (i) was a member of such board of directors on the Closing Date, or (ii) was nominated for election or elected to such board of directors with the approval of the required majority of the Continuing Directors who were members of such board at the time of such nomination or election.
