Temporary appointments definition

Temporary appointments means Faculty Members on Limited Term Contracts, Visiting Faculty, and lecturers who are not eligible for tenure.

Examples of Temporary appointments in a sentence

  • Employees on continuing appointments may not bump employees on Supplemental or Temporary appointments.

  • Employees on continuing appointments may be reassigned to Supplemental or Temporary appointments only at the discretion of the Employer.

  • Employees on Temporary appointments are eligible for layoff rights only as specifically provided under this Article.

  • Temporary appointment(s) shall be limited to open, encumbered non-supervisory or non-leadership position(s), for which there is a Personnel Action Code (PAC), occupied by an employee on Board-approved leave or other Board-approved absences and such leave or absence is expected to be one year or less.

  • C.12.1 Temporary appointments may be made to fill temporary positions or continuing positions temporarily vacant.

  • Temporary appointments are those appointments in which work is of a temporary nature and a specified duration, not to exceed sixty (60) days, except when the temporary employee is doing the work of an employee on an approved leave of absence.
