Telepharmacy site definition
Telepharmacy site means a licensed pharmacy that is operated by a managing pharmacy and staffed by one or more telepharmacy technicians where pharmaceutical care services, including the storage and dispensing of prescription drugs, drug utilization review, and patient counseling, are provided by a licensed pharmacist through the use of technology.
Telepharmacy site means a licensed pharmacy that is operated by a managing pharmacy and staffed by one or more telepharmacy technicians where pharmaceutical care services, including the storage and dispensing of prescription drugs, drug utilization review, and patient counseling, are provided by a licensed pharmacist through the use of technology. “Verifying pharmacist” means a remote Iowa-licensed pharmacist or pharmacists who perform any step in the prescription verification and dispensing process including but not limited to: verification of data entry; product selection, packaging, and labeling; drug utilization review; and patient counseling.
