Telecommunications Standard. (Telecommunication NOM Standard): the technical regulation of compulsory enforcement issued by Ministry of Communications and Transportation, in accordance with the purposes set forth in article 40 of the Federal Law on Metrology and Standardization, which establishes rules, specifications, attributes, guidelines, features or requirements applicable to the telecomm performance of a product, as well as those relating to terminology, symbols, packaging, marking or labelling and those related to its compliance or implementation.

Telecommunications Standard means a standard adopted by a recognized standard-setting body, including, but not limited to, ETSI, ITU, UMTS, or CTIA.
