Teachout definition

Teachout means a defaulting school or the Higher Education Coordinating Commission makes provisions for students enrolled at the time of the default to complete a comparable program at no additional cost beyond the original enrollment agreement with the defaulting school. Teachout arrangements, if made by the defaulting school, shall be approved in advance by the commission’s executive director and, if ongoing, approved annually by the executive director.
Teachout means the continuation of instruction to complete the program or course whenever the school's license has been suspended or revoked or a school has advised the director that it intends to discontinue operations.

  • Teach-out agreements require SACSCOC approval in advance of implementation.

  • With respect to new students who have enrolled between the date hereof and the execution of the Operating Agreement, Corinthian shall provide such new students with the opportunity to either (i) discontinue their education at Teach-out School, and Corinthian shall forgive entirely any tuition or other fees charged during the period, or (ii) the students shall be free to continue their education in the ordinary course.
