It is the purpose of this Standards-Based Teacher Evaluation Policy to improve the quality of instruction, enhance student learning and strengthen professional competence through meaningful feedback and targeted professional development.
In determining student growth measures, the Board adopts the Ohio Department of Education’s Ohio Teacher Evaluation System (OTES), which calculates student growth by assessing achievement for an individual student occurring between two points in time.
