Taxiways definition

Taxiways means those Aircraft rights-of-way so designated by the Airport Commission and/or Airport Management, connecting to a runway, thereby serving all Aircraft based on, or using the Hastings Airport, and essential to the use and operation of the Airport.

More Definitions of Taxiways

Taxiways shall have the meaning set forth in the definition ofPublic Aircraft Facilities”.
Taxiways means the portion of the Airport used for the purpose of the ground movement of aircraft to, from and between the Runways, the Public Ramp and Apron Area, the Public Aircraft Parking and Storage Area and other portions of the Airport (not including, however, any taxiways, the exclusive use of which is granted to the Lessee or any other Person by lease, permit or otherwise).
Taxiways means the taxiways on the Airfield existing at the date of this agreement Where any obligations in this Agreement are described as being “at the Owner’s Cost” the obligation of the Owner to meet such costs shall be limited to the reasonable and proper costs and expenses incurred by the Operator (with the prior written approval of the Owner such approval not to be unreasonably withheld or delayed) and payable by the Owner under this Agreement This Agreement shall determine at the expiry of the Contract Period unless extended by the prior written agreement of the Owner and the Operator. Either party may end this Agreement by serving not less than three months written notice on the other party if the party who is in receipt of the notice to terminate either materially breaches any of the other terms of this Agreement or if an Insolvency Event occurs in respect of that party. When this Agreement ends it will not release either party from any breaches of the terms of this Agreement which occurred during the Contract Period or any rights of either party in respect of those breaches. The Owners grants the Operator the rights at Schedule 1 for the performance of its obligations under this Agreement. The Operator acknowledges that: the Owner is entitled to exclusive control and possession of the Airfield and may enter and remain on the Airfield at any time and for all purposes, subject to the provisions of clause 6.3 below and causing as little interference with the Operator’s business as reasonably practicable, without any interference by the Operator; nothing in this Agreement is intended to create a letting of the Airfield or to confer any rights on the Operator, whether under common law or any enactment, greater than a bare licence on the terms of this Agreement; its rights of occupation under this Agreement are subject to all existing and future rights of tenants occupiers and other users of the Airfield
Taxiways means a controlled surface on the airport used for the movement of aircraft and ground vehicles, as designated by Air Traffic Control at the Control Tower.
Taxiways is defined in the Port/IAT Lease.
