Targeted Therapy definition

Targeted Therapy means therapies using either small-molecule drugs or monoclonal antibodies for the treatment of cancer. Small-molecule drugs are used for targets inside cells. Monoclonal antibodies (also known as therapeutic antibodies) are proteins produced in the lab, designed to attach specific targets found on cancer cells or mark cancer cells to be destroyed by the immune system.
