Tapeout definition

Tapeout means the completion of the physical specifications, including without limitation, fractured data ready for mask making, of the first integrated circuit using the FPGA Architecture.
Tapeout means the first design release for manufacturing.
Tapeout shall be deemed to have occurred when ADI provides to CSM a full GDS database of a given product and CSM has communicated in writing to ADI that there has been no design rule violation or has agreed to accept the design and layout "as is." Acceptance of a purchase order by CSM from ADI for more than [**] wafers of a product shall constitute written "as is" design acceptance, unless mutually agreed in writing.

Examples of Tapeout in a sentence

  • Both parties shall mutually agree to complete and approve [*] Tapeout engineering requirements.

  • TAEC will use all commercially reasonable efforts to provide Prototypes within the total turnaround time defined in the appropriate DPA and expressed as working weeks from Tape-out.

  • Tapeout and mask making will not begin until Seller has received Buyer’s written approval of the Seller’s post-layout results and the Buyer’s final Design Specifications Summary, which shall be provided at least one (1) month prior to tapeout unless the parties otherwise mutually agree (for the ▇▇▇ ASIC, the parties have agreed to a shorter time period).
