Take Authorization definition

Take Authorization means authorization issued by USFWS and CDFW to Take listed species, pursuant to FESA (through the FESA Section 10 permit) and/or the California Fish and Game Code. This term may also apply to the statutory exemption from the take prohibition provided under Section 7(o)(2) of FESA.

Examples of Take Authorization in a sentence

  • Parties within such annexed or deannexed land that qualify as Participating Special Entities may receive Take Authorization.

  • The USFWS shall use reasonable efforts to review and process the application expeditiously so as to ensure, provided the Permit amendment or application meets the requirements of the ESA and other applicable federal laws, that the Take Authorization is effective concurrently with the listing of the Covered Species under FESA.
