Surround means the maximum permitted area in which memorial items, excluding kerb sets, can be placed (see Appendix 1).

Applicants made clear in their accompanying remarks that in amended claim 35 (issued claim 1) “an outer surface of the core” must be entirely surrounded and covered by the electrochemically active metal. Applicants added dependent claim 73 (issued claim 11), reciting that the core further comprises a first end, that may further be surrounded and covered by the electrochemically active metal.3 The final set of claim amendments also added the requirement that the electrochemically active metal must be “in contact with” the core material. Related prosecution arguments confirm that the “in contact with” term is used in its ordinary sense to require that the electrochemically active metal and the core be touching.

  • Area means Monterey County, San Benito County, and Santa Cruz County.

  • Prospecting means activities considered normal and reasonably necessary to retrieve samples of subsurface geologic sediments for the specific purpose of locating, mapping, and determining the quality and quantity of sedimentary strata or natural deposits.

  • Recycling center means an establishment, place of business, facility or building which is maintained, operated, or used for the storing, keeping, buying, or selling of newspaper or used food or beverage containers or plastic containers for the purpose of converting such items into a usable product.

  • School building means any building in which any of the instruction, extracurricular activities, or training provided by a school is conducted, whether or not any instruction, extracurricular activities, or training provided by the school is being conducted in the school building at the time a criminal offense is committed.

  • PAD means a Preauthorized Debit.

  • Lot area means the total horizontal area within the lot lines of a lot.

  • Archaeological site means a geographic locality in Washington, including but not limited to, submerged and submersible lands and the bed of the sea within the state's jurisdiction, that contains archaeological objects.

  • Sites means the area(s) upon or in which the construction work is carried on, and such other areas adjacent thereto as may be designated by the Commissioner.

  • Shopping Center means the Shopping Center identified on the initial page hereof.
