Surgical Clinic definition

Surgical Clinic means a clinic which both provides treatment for patients who remain less than twenty-four (24) hours, and is not part of and not operating under the license of a hospital, and which is either licensed by the State Department of Health Services if not exempt from such licensing, or certified to participate in the federal Medicare program as an “ambulatory surgical center” as defined in the Code of Federal Regulations. A “Surgical Clinic” does not include the offices of private physicians in individual or group practice.
