Surface Moisture definition

Surface Moisture means the moisture content present in Coal that is derived as the difference between Total Moisture and Equilibrated Moisture, and expressed in percentage terms.

  • For supplies by modes other than rail, Surface Moisture shall be determined jointly at loading end on daily basis.

  • For supplies by modes other than rail, Surface Moisture shall be determined by the Third Party at loading end on daily basis.

  • Radioactive Materials License for use of Surface Moisture Density Gauges shall be in compliance with FDOT’s requirements.

  • Sampling/analysis and determination of Surface Moisture for compensation shall be done as per the procedure set out in SCHEDULE V.

  • The SELLER shall give regular credit note on account of excess Surface Moisture, calculated at the rate of Base Price of analyzed grade of Coal.
