Surface Equipment definition

Surface Equipment means Contractor’s drilling equipment that is not defined as “Subsea Equipment” in Section 8.2(C). Except as provided in Section 8.2(A)(2), if there is a Work stoppage due to mechanical failure or damage to the Drilling Unit surface equipment, Contractor is allowed the number of hours per calendar month to effect repairs to the Drilling Unit as set out in Exhibit A - Scope of Work.
Surface Equipment means the Surface equipment supplied by Vox to the Customer as itemised in a Subscriber Agreement.
Surface Equipment means all of Contractor’s equipment that is not defined as Subsea Equipment, regardless of whether such Surface Equipment is above or below the surface of the water, such as DP equipment. Surface Equipment includes Downhole Equipment while it is not in the hole, i.e. above the rotary table, but does not include Downhole Equipment while it is in the hole, i.e. below the rotary table.

  • The Customer acknowledges that during the term of the agreement technology may change and accordingly Vox may in its sole discretion replace the Surface Equipment with comparable equipment which need not be exactly the same as the replaced equipment, provided that it shall be substantially similar to the replaced equipment.

  • Should you not return the Surface Equipment, or the Surface Equipment is returned with material defects, you will be liable for the then current replacement value of the Surface Equipment or the nearest model in circulation at the time.
