Surface Course definition

Surface Course. The last field in the Item description designates the intended use and location within the pavement structure (options are surface, intermediate, or base course).

Surface Course means the placement of the asphalt concrete material on a previously prepared base course.

Examples of Surface Course in a sentence

  • For roads without Base Course or Surface Course, that portion of Roadbed prepared as the finished wearing surface.
