Supporting Guarantee definition

Supporting Guarantee means operating instructions, such as instructions to open or close a switch or to lock devices in the open position, given to protect the safety of staff and the public while work is being performed by a Party; and
Supporting Guarantee has the meaning given to it in the “Glossary of Terms” of the “utility work protection code” referred to in the document entitled “Electrical Utility Safety Rules”, published by the Electrical and Utilities Safety Association of Ontario Incorporated (now the Infrastructure Health and Safety Association) and revised January, 2009, as may be amended from time to time; and
Supporting Guarantee means a guarantee issued in support of a Work Protection guaranteeing isolation/de-energizing at switches, or other devices, under the operating control of the issuer;

Examples of Supporting Guarantee in a sentence

  • The written notice shall contain a request that the Customer’s Controlling Authority provide a Supporting Guarantee that identifies the Customer’s assigned equipment operating designations.

  • D.3.10.2.1 If Elexicon requires isolation from Generator Equipment then Elexicon shall request the Generator’s Controlling Authority to provide a Supporting Guarantee.

  • D.3.10.2.2 The Supporting Guarantee shall identify the Generator’s assigned designations for the operating equipment.
