Sunnah definition

Sunnah means the teachings and traditions of the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH); and
Sunnah literally means “path” which connotes “path” of prophet Muhammad(peace be upon him) and the path of guidance.
Sunnah literally means “tareeq (track), nahj (method) orseerah (style of living).” (6)

Sunnah means “Way” in Arabic. That path, good or bad, is called circumcision.
