Summer Students definition

Summer Students are defined as those who have been in full-time attendance in school or university in the immediately preceding scholastic year or who are enrolled in the immediately following scholastic year and who were not engaged as replacements for members of the bargaining unit. The employment of summer students will be confined to the period between April 10 and September 10 in any one year.
Summer Students means a person who is employed for a specific period of time over the summer months with an agreed start and end date. The work performed by summer students will not result in the layoff or reduction of hours of bargaining unit employees. Summer students are considered casual employees under the collective agreement and are not covered by Article 11 -
