Summer Pay definition

Summer Pay means payment to a faculty member on Contract Pay for services performed during the non-contracted period between May 16 and August 15 each year.
Summer Pay. A faculty member who has been employed as a full-time faculty member during the preceding spring semester, and who will be employed as a full- time faculty member during the following fall semester, or who will be retiring at the end of the summer term, will be paid 2.667% of the previous year’s contracted salary for teaching each LHE during the intervening summer session, up to a maximum of 6 LHEs. All LHEs over six will be paid at the overload rate of the preceding spring semester. In the event a faculty member is employed as a full-time faculty member for the succeeding semester after the summer session has begun, summer pay will be recalculated according to the above guidelines. Examples of Summer Pay in a sentence

  • An employee has the option of enrolling annually in the voluntary Summer Pay Deferred Compensation Program during the open enrollment period in September.

  • Summer Pay - Contract Counselors Contract counselors who work a one hundred ninety (190) day schedule shall be able to work additional summer hours, as necessary, as determined by the District, at their hourly overload rate of pay.

  • Summer Pay Option - Employees who work 192 or more days have the option of deferring pay over 24 payments.
