Substituted Day definition

Substituted Day means a day that is declared as a public holiday in lieu of the prescribed public holidays that fall on a Saturday or Sunday in accordance with clause 4.4.2.

Examples of Substituted Day in a sentence

  • Where in accordance with the NES an alternative day is substituted to be the public holiday in lieu of a public holiday in clause 4.4.1, that alternate day will be substituted for and regarded as the public holiday for the purposes of this Agreement (Substituted Day).

  • Employees who choose to substitute and work on Australia Day will be eligible for public holiday loadings for work on the Substituted Day only.

  • In approving an Employee’s Substituted Day, customer needs and operational requirements will be a significant consideration but an Employee’s requested Substitute Day will not be unreasonably refused.

  • However, if you are required to work on a public holiday or its Substituted Day, you will be paid your casual loading in addition to the public holiday loading in clause 4.4.4(b) for all hours worked (or for minimum duty).

  • Where full or part time Employees are ordinarily, or would otherwise have ordinarily been, rostered to work on a public holiday in clause 4.4.1 or a Substituted Day in accordance with clause 4.4.2 but are not required to work in accordance with a request in clause 4.4.4(a), the Employee may take the day off without loss of pay.
