Substitute Employees. An individual who is employed to fill in for a full- time or part-time employee on a temporary basis. ● Temporary employees: Employees who are employed to work for a period not to exceed nine months. Temporary employees shall be advised of the temporary nature of their employment at the time of hire. ● Employees who work less than 50% of the normal workweek for their particular classification. ● Summer youth/student employees. ● Bus drivers and bus attendants who are hired by bus contractors. ● Confidential employees.

More Definitions of Substitute Employees

Substitute Employees. Any person employed on a daily basis to perform the work of an absent full-time employee shall be considered a substitute employee and not entitled to any benefits under this Agreement. They shall be paid in accordance with the rates for such employment, not less than existing minimum wage.
