Substitute Driver definition

Substitute Driver means a relief driver who is an employee of the Owner- Operator who drives the commercial vehicle on behalf of the Owner-Operator. The Substitute Driver is not an employee of the City. The Owner-Operator may only utilize one relief driver.

Examples of Substitute Driver in a sentence

  • Substitute Driver may be used after Unassigned Drivers are not available to sub.

  • Substitute Driver may be used on trips if no confirmed hired drivers are available for trips.

  • Parent/Guardian shall maintain accurate records of the days on which the Parent/Guardian or Substitute Driver transported the Student(s) to and from school in accordance with this Agreement.

  • Parent/Guardian, not the Substitute Driver, will still receive stipend payments for any days on which the Substitute Driver transports the Student(s) provided all the terms and conditions of this Agreement are met.

  • Parent/Guardian accepts SOLE responsibility for ensuring the safety of the Student(s) during transportation to and from school throughout the 2023-2024 school year, regardless of whether such transportation is provided by the Parent/Guardian or a Substitute Driver.

  • Parent/Guardian fully releases and discharges WCPSS from any and all claims or liability related to any injury, physical or mental, that the Student(s) may suffer as a result of the negligence, intentional misconduct, or other wrongdoing of any Substitute Driver.

  • Parent/Guardian accepts SOLE responsibility to ensure that any Substitute Driver is safe, reliable, and timely in providing transportation for the Student(s).

  • Under no circumstances will WCPSS be directly liable to any Substitute Driver for any payments of any kind.

  • Unit members working in positions other than Bus Driver who possess a valid California Bus Driver Certificate may be designated as a Substitute Driver, depending on the unit member’s willingness and the District’s approval.

  • Within 5 days after the end of each month, Parent/Guardian shall submit a form provided by WCPSS entitled “Daily Stipend Log,” which shall accurately indicate the actual number of days on which the Parent/Guardian or Substitute Driver transported the Student(s) to and from school.

Related to Substitute Driver

  • Substitute teacher means a person employed to perform the normal duties of a teacher who is absent.

  • Substitute caregiver means any person other than the licensee, resident manager, floating resident manager, or shift caregiver who provides care and services in an AFH under the jurisdiction of the Department.

  • Substitute care means the out-of-home placement of a child or young adult who is in the legal or physical custody and care of the Department.

  • Substitute Check means a paper reproduction of an Item that satisfies the requirements and definition of "substitute check" set forth in Regulation CC.

  • Substitute Improvements means the substitute or additional improvements of the Issuer described in Article V hereof.
