Subfloor definition

Subfloor means, for purposes of 35 Ill. Adm. Code 218 and 219, subflooring material over floor joists, including any load bearing joists. Subflooring is covered by a finish surface material.
Subfloor means a concrete slab and other approved permanent floor system that directly contacts the ground and is within the walls of the living spaces of the building.
Subfloor means material applied directly to the top edge of floor joists.

  • Roof means a non-porous cover for a structure such as (by way of example and not limitation) Lexan barriers or shingles but not a shade trellis, ivy or other open or porous material that may also be used as a cover.

  • Gate means any structure or device located to limit or prohibit access or entry to any cave.

  • Frontage means and refer to all the property on one side of a street between two intersecting streets measured along the line of the street, or if the street is dead-ended, then all of the property abutting on one side between an intersecting street and the dead end of the street.

  • Lobby means a covered space in which all the adjoining rooms open;

  • Yard means the land other than publicly owned land around or appurtenant to the whole or any part of a residential or non-residential property and used or capable of being used in connection with the property.

  • Floor coating means an opaque coating that is labeled and designed for application to flooring, including but not limited to, decks, porches, steps, and other horizontal surfaces which may be subject to foot traffic.

  • Ground floor means a floor of a building with a building entrance on an accessible route. A building may have more than one ground floor.
