Subdivision 1. Carrier Selection: The selection of the insurance carrier or carriers to provide the group insurance programs established by this Article shall remain with the School District.
Subdivision 1. All principals who signed employment contracts in ISD 876 after May 1, 2007 will no longer qualify and shall not be eligible for the school district contribution toward health and hospitalization coverage after retirement from the school district. Such principals shall only be eligible to participate in the Post-Retirement Health Care Savings Plan offered through the Minnesota State Retirement System. Following the completion of each full year of service (June) the School District shall contribute $3,000 to the PRHCSP account in each eligible principal’s name. The PRHCSP provision of ISD 876 is subject to the Laws of the State of Minnesota, Minnesota Statutes and the Internal Revenue Service Code. The total contribution shall not exceed $50,000 per individual principal.
Subdivision 1. A principal, supervisor, and classroom teacher, and any other professional employee required to hold a license from the state department shall be deemed to be a teacher within the meaning of this section. A superintendent is a teacher only for purposes of Subdivisions 3 and 19." This definition applies to the term "teacher" in this Agreement except that the following SWWC employees are excluded for purposes of this Agreement: executive director, special education directors, director of administrative services, director of teaching and learning services, director of risk management, director of finance, manager of operations, manager of information technology, manager of member services, administrator of alternative programs, principals, other project directors/project coordinators as determined by the executive director, persons who devote over 50% of their time to SWWC administrative duties, confidential and essential employees, and such other employees as are excluded by law.

Subdivision 1. The School District shall pay all valid expenses and fees for the Association members attendance at professional conferences and meetings with other educational agencies when attendance thereof is required, directed, or permitted by the Superintendent of Schools or City of Willmar Administrator.
