STURMFLUT definition

STURMFLUT means any event or series of events which shall cause the water level to exceed the local average high water at the North Sea coast and the mean level at the Baltic Sea coast by at least 1.5 metres and will be declared by the Federal German Office for Maritime Shipping and Hydrographic and applies only to Germany
