Straight Through Processing (STP) definition

Straight Through Processing (STP) means the online transmission of Messages directly from Participants’ internal systems and complete automated processing of Messages without the need for data entry or manual intervention.

  • Depending on each Account type held by the Client, the Company shall be executing Orders as a counterparty in the particular transaction in which case the Company will be the execution venue, or it will be transmitting the Orders for execution to a third party (known as Straight Through Processing, STP), in which case the Company will not be acting as a counterparty in the transaction and the execution venue will be a third party.

  • The Customer acknowledges that, in certain circumstances (such as where a transaction is effected by way of Straight Through Processing (STP)), it will not be practically possible for QIB to remedy the effect of fraudulent activity or other errors and QIB accepts no responsibility or liability for Losses arising out or in connection with such circumstances.

  • It is understood that in relation to individual transactions, depending on the type of Client Account held by each Client, the Company will either be executing Orders as a counterparty in the particular transaction in which case the Company will be the execution venue or it will be transmitting the Orders for execution to a third party (known as Straight Through Processing, STP), in which case the Company will not be acting as a counterparty in the transaction and the execution venue will be a third party.
