Step Placement definition

Step Placement. A new teacher to ISD 196 may be placed on a step of the salary schedule at the discretion of ISD 196.
Step Placement. A newly hired teacher-itinerant shall be placed on such step of the salary schedule as agreed between the FED and the teacher-itinerant.
Step Placement. Any employee promoted in the classified service shall have his/her salary adjusted to Step A of the new range or to one step above the old salary, whichever is higher.

Examples of Step Placement in a sentence

  • Every teacher with the same number of completed years of experience should be placed on the Step Placement Chart at the intersection of the number of completed years of experience and the current school year.

  • Employees hired into non-TLHP positions shall be hired at Step 2 (or appropriate higher step in accordance with applicable MOU provisions or Section 4.90 (Salary Step Placement on Initial Appointment to City Service) of the LAAC).

  • When an employee voluntarily accepts a position in a lower Track, the employee shall maintain his or her Step Placement in the new Track.

  • Managers may use the Advance Step Placement Process in the placement of the employee.

  • Each person will move one step on each subsequent salary schedule as indicated by the Step Placement Chart in Appendix A.

  • Maximum Step Placement- A newly appointed faculty member who presents evidence of appropriate previous experience within the 60-day limit as defined in 8.4.3, shall be placed no higher than Step 6.

  • Step Placement Exception forms will be retained by the department.

  • Step Placement: Dependent upon teaching experience and training based on the following: Step 1-less than one year of teaching experience.

  • Maximum Step Placement- A newly appointed faculty member who presents evidence of appropriate previous experience within the 60-day limit as defined in 8.4.3, shall be placed no higher than Step 4.

  • Step Placement: Unit members beginning the first year of teaching with the Office of Education shall have their experience evaluated by Human Resources to determine proper step placement.
