Step Increments definition

Step Increments. A unit member will be granted a one-step advancement on October 1 of each year provided they have served a year’s service. A year of service shall be defined as 150 workdays or more. Hourly instructors shall be advanced in step after completion of twelve hundred (1200) clock hours of satisfactory hourly teaching service in the District. Qualification for step advancement shall be evaluated each pay period. Advancement shall be effective the first of the month following qualification.
Step Increments. The District shall provide unit members hired prior to July 1, 2018, a step increment after completion of six (6) months of service, unit members hired on or after July 1, 2018, shall receive a step increase after twelve (12) months of service and thereafter an annual step increment for each remaining step indicated on the salary schedule for the particular classification. Effective July 1, 2018, the District shall add an additional step increment to the salary schedule for a total of seven (7) steps.
Step Increments. Each "step" on the salary schedule represents a period of time an individual Bargaining Unit Member has served the District. For each period of time, represented herein, the Bargaining Unit Member shall be advanced to the next higher salary step as provided below:

Examples of Step Increments in a sentence

  • B/C4.1 Step Increments -- Adjunct faculty shall be granted one (1) step increment for each 450 clock hours of hourly service in the District, with the exception of adjunct faculty on Class 0, Step J of Salary Schedule B and/or Salary Schedule C who require 12,000 hours of satisfactory hourly service to move to Step K.

Parking: Appropriate staff parking shall be provided on campus for $40.00 per academic year for full-time classified unit members and $20.00 per academic year for part-time classified unit members. Unit members may purchase a staff parking permit in accordance with BP-6750 to utilize these areas. 8.14.1 Two (2) annual parking passes will be provided for designated CSEA Representatives and an additional annual parking pass will be provided for the assigned CSEA Labor Relations Representative.
